Where do we call home? The structure signifies the voyage of my family through art installations that tell our story. My origins come from Tunisia and Poland. Because my family is Jewish, we fled persecution. My father's Tunisian side relocated to France, while my mother's Polish side, as Holocaust survivors, was rescued and brought to Sweden. My parents met and started our family in France, but due to religious persecution, we moved to the United States. We settled in Miami, as it reminded my father of his homeland in Tunisia. The textile connections represented in our home symbolize my family's journey, weaving together the threads of our diverse heritage.
